artist statement:
We were given the topic of "the other". "The other" could be referred to as something within you or something about yourself that makes you feel like an impostor to yourself or something that is different about you (something that opposes you) but without that piece; you would not be yourself.

My “other” is my “online persona”. I spend a lot of time online; for fun, for school and sometimes just because I can. I have different accounts on lots of social networking sites and sometimes some accounts dedicated for only one specific thing. I find myself more open. Everyone knows what I love, what I enjoy, what’s bothering me and how I think because I’m willing to share. But in real life, I have barriers up with people. Of course, people know I like /taylor swift/ but it’s not something I can outright say that I enjoy because I just appear weird. It feels like a space safe online to talk about something that I’ve been “obsessed” with since I was 9. Because I know they also have things that other people find weird to enjoy.

The magazine explores other things I spent my time on online and in my life that and also with screenshots of my commentary about those different items that mean a lot to me and how i connect it to myself; my feelings and growth.
